Delusions Of Grandeur
One of my high school teachers used to say his job was to help remove the illusions of grandeur from our eyes.
The goal was to give us a realistic understanding of who we were and what we were capable of.
I remember him as being a sad man whose goal was to make himself feel larger by making those around him feel small.
Not the way anyone should be remembered or thought of, but 29 years later that is what I remember.
Is it accurate or truly representative of who he was?
I don’t know.
I just hope that my encounters with people leave a better taste than his left with me.
Where To Focus My Attention
Got a lot going on now, so much I am having some challenges determining where I ought to focus my attention.
But I have some ideas and some of them are found from the words I have been writing elsewhere.
Kind of interesting to think about how much insight you can get into a person’s mind if you really look hard at what they share.
